Description
The Undergraduate Degree Course in Environmental Sciences trains professionals with the skills to interpret the phenomena that control the state of the Environment. These graduates can contribute to the technique and/or policy decision-making, by grounding it on extensive scientific criteria.
The integrated and specialized perspective of the Environment allows these graduates to intervene in terms of spatial planning, Nature conservation, environmental monitoring and control of risks, in different professional fields:
-In business - consulting and environmental services (for example in the fields of Nature tourism, training, monitoring studies and environmental impact assessment);
-In research - access to postgraduate training and research in various fields of environment sciences and technologies;
-State agencies, municipal and multi-municipal companies.
Access to higher education
Graduates will possess a basic multidisciplinary background, which will give them access to a wide variety of Master courses where they can get more specific and advanced training in topics of their choice, and to supplement their initial training.
Careers
The perspective simultaneously integrative and specialized, allows these graduates to act in the domains of land management, Nature conservation, environmental monitoring and control of risks, in different professional fields:
- Business consulting and environmental services (eg in the fields of tourism of Nature, training, monitoring studies and environmental impact assessment);
- Research with the possibility of accessing to postgraduate training and research in various fields of science and technology environment;
- State agencies and municipal entities.
