As part of the EEGConnect lecture series, the School of Economics, Management and Political Science (EEG) of the University of Minho held its third session titled “Artificial Intelligence – An Introductory Journey”, continuing the learning path initiated in previous sessions.
This session aimed to strengthen the critical and applied understanding of Artificial Intelligence, delving into the main potentials and limitations of this technology in academic and scientific settings. It emphasized the ethical and responsible use of AI, with a focus on critical analysis of results, prevention of poor practices, and the promotion of scientific integrity.

The guest speaker was Luís Filipe Silva, PhD in Economics and Business from the University of Santiago de Compostela and Post-Doctorate in Economics and Management from the University of Minho. He is currently a visiting assistant professor at UMinho, researcher, and managing partner of a consulting firm.
This initiative is part of the EEGenerating Skills programme and contributed to the development of transversal skills essential to the academic growth of EEG students.
