The solid training base of students gained over the UCs, allow them to be integrated in research activities, especially in the last year of the course. The existence of a UC “Project in Environmental Sciences” (10 ECTS) will foster the integration in ongoing research projects in several scientific Centres in the areas of Earth Sciences, Biology, Physics and Chemistry from ECUM. The conclusion of the course in Environmental Sciences will allow students to integrate into diverse professional activities in the labor market, as well as the possibility of further studies in the area of Environmental Sciences in 2nd and 3rd Cycles.

Key learning outcomes

1. Offer a multidisciplinary spectrum of scientific training in Environmental Sciences;
2. Prepare students with a multidisciplinary and holistic view of the Environmental problems;
3. Provide tools for an approach of environmental adaptation to global change processes;
4. Provide additional training in economic and legal aspects of the environment, in order to allow that the treatment of environmental issues will be framed in the social and economic problems;
