How to apply
Applications are made online at the Academic Portal. Candidates should provide the following documents in one of the following languages - Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French:
• Research Plan;
• Statement of acceptance of the internal advisor;
• Statement of acceptance of the external advisor (if applicable);
• Digital copy of transcript of records for your graduation degree and master (stating in details all courses taken and grades obtained as well as a general grading scale and average necessary grade). Add a translation if applicable;
• Curriculum Vitae;
• Digital copy of the English language proficiency certificate (except for citizens of Portuguese speaking countries);
• Other documents relevant for the application (optional).
NOTE: Before send the application, please contact the Programme Director if you need support to write the research plan or to select the internal advisor.
The documents submitted in the application is a responsibility of the candidate, who must submit the originals of documents whenever requested. In case of doubt about the elements relevant to the application or their authenticity, UMinho may request additional information from the applicant or their confirmation.
