 International Cooperation

The School of Sciences of the University of Minho is actively involved in international scientific and academic cooperation through the establishment of specific protocols with numerous universities and research institutes from around the world. In general, the objective is to promote mutual participation in research projects and the exchange of teaching staff and students in recognition of the quality of research and training carried out by the School of Sciences.

The School of Sciences’ cooperation with other universities is also visible through active collaboration in teaching programs, such as the Master's Degree in Chemical Analysis and Characterisation Techniques and the Doctoral Program in Chemistry with the Universities of Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, for the attribution of joint degrees and also doctorates under co-tutelage, such as the Doctoral Program in Marine Science, Technology and Management (PD_Do * Mar).

The participation of the School of Sciences in international research networks is also one of the most important components of its internationalisation strategy. International cooperation networks to which the School of Sciences belongs:

These networks enable not only the participation in numerous seminars and conferences, but also the sharing of ideas, projects and teaching and research activities among its members.
