It is
mandatory to submit the following documents:
i) Candidate's curriculum vitae, indicating previous studies and classifications, research experience and professional activities; the CV must be dated and signed on all pages;
ii) Two letters of recommendation from previous teachers, advisors or employers;
iii) Motivation letter;
iv) Synopsis of the Research Project, briefly describing the motivation, objectives and general methodology, also indicating the home and host institutions, advisors and the curricular branch in which the candidate intends to enroll, using the form available at:
Universidade do Minho. This form must be signed by the supervisor and the co-supervisor.
v) Certified copies of the academic diplomas;
vi) Copies of the transcripts of the diplomas mentioned in the candidate's curriculum vitae, including the courses / units / disciplines followed and their credits and ratings;
vii) A recent level B2 proficiency certificate in the English language; this certificate can be replaced by a signed statement indicating that the candidate has the necessary English proficiency to understand, speak and write scientific English at a postgraduate level;
viii) Supervisor and co-supervisor curriculum vitae.
The Motivation Letter and the Project Synopsis must be written in English. CVs, letters of recommendation, academic diplomas and transcripts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, English or French; if they are written in any other language, they must be accompanied by a translation into Portuguese. Copies of foreign academic degrees must be authenticated by the official education services of the respective country, recognized by the competent Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority, or bear the Apostille of the Hague Convention.
This documentation does not replace the recognition of the academic degrees present in Notice 2) described below.
