The Spectrum Two (Perkin Elmer) is a Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer, coupled with Universal Attenuated Total Reflectance (UATR) accessory to simplify and enable the fast analysis of micron-scale thin films, opaque solids, powders, pastes, gels and liquids from 450-4000 cm-1 (22 µm to 2.5 µm). It is used to study and identify chemicals and functional groups. The technique is non-destructive and allow the IR analysis for an extensive range of applications (e.g. polymers, biological materials, pharmaceutical, lubricants and fuels, etc).
